Streaming FAQs

Q: I have done one study already. How do I access the next study?

A: First, the Group Administrator must create a separate Group Account for the new study HERE. You will see a box to "Select your study"—choose the new one. To view the videos, all participants, including the Group Administrator, must link their Participant Accounts with this new study by using the righthand side of this form (link-Participant Registration). You will see another box to "Select your study"--choose it here as well.

Q: What should I do when I get a message saying that the access code does not match with the selected group?

A: The Group Account must be created first HERE (link-Group Account Registration) before anyone can view the videos. Once the Group Account has been created, the Participants and the Group Administrator must create their individual Participant Accounts HERE (link-Participant Registration) to access the videos.

Q: How do I register as a participant?

A: Once your Group Administrator has created a Group Account, you must create a Participant Account available here:

Q: How do I log in and watch the videos?

A: When your Participant Account has been created, log in HERE on the righthand side. Then hover over the Streaming button, and select your study from the drop-down menu. This will take you into the video page.

Q: How do I reset my password?

A: Click the "Log In" button at the top. Click on "Forgot your password?", enter your e-mail address, and you will be able to reset it.

Q: Do Small Group Leaders have to register their small discussion groups?

A: No--only the Group Administrator must register the parish or group, and each parish or group should only be registered once.

Q: When I try to watch the videos, why does it tell me to "please login or sign up?"

A: If you already have a Participant Account, log in HERE on the righthand side. If you do not yet have a Participant Account, use this form to create one:

Q: When I try to watch the videos, why does it tell me "you are not authorized to access the videos?"

A: You must link your account with your group or parish using the Video Access Code from your Group Administrator HERE

Q; How do I get back into the website?

A: At the top, click the "Log In" button and sign in using your e-mail address and password.

Q: What should I do if the cursor keeps circling?

A: When the cursor keeps circling, try to refresh the page. If this does not work, close and open your Internet browser and try to log in again.

Q: What if the video is too slow, or takes too long to stream?

A: This is most likely an issue with your computer or Internet connection--the videos require high-speed Internet to stream as well. While watching a video, there is an option to change the streaming quality, which may improve performance--just click the gear icon at the bottom-right of the video, next to the volume control, or right-click inside the video to adjust the quality.

Q: Is my password the same as my access code?

A: No - your password is unique to your Participant Account, and will be created when you create your account HERE. If you already have a TAN Books account, that password will stay the same for all of our websites.
